Taking care of our students

At ACG Schools, we understand that personal wellbeing is essential for academic and personal achievement, especially when studying in a new country. That’s why we do everything we can to support and care for our international students while they study with us.

ACG’s dedicated staff are experienced in looking after international students’ educational, practical and social needs. The New Zealand Ministry of Education’s Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students is a requirement we take very seriously, for the sake of all our students.

As the Code requires, we ensure a very high standard of care for international students studying with us. We are reviewed by NZQA or the Education Review Office (on behalf of NZQA) who audit education providers on a regular basis.

Our homestay families, tutors, welfare and pastoral care staff are always available to talk to students and parents if they have any concerns.

Students can also choose from a list of social, sporting, cultural and religious groups, which may help with emotional and spiritual health.

ACG’s approach to education means we create a link between personal wellbeing and academic studies so that students are supported in their learning.

Our International team can help with practical and personal challenges that may arise. Students can access information about living and studying in New Zealand, and get help with immigration matters, visas, insurance, accommodation, or just setting up a bank account.

Application process

The application process for our schools is simple. Applications can be done in person, online, email or post.
